Michael Palazzolo, Kevin Venney, RM, and Detroit Techno wizard Jon Dixon
Before the Coronavirus Pandemic, bassist Michael Palazzolo (Bob James) and I brought you two successful shows with a third about to occur, combining the best creative musicians in Detroit, Toronto, and Windsor, including: Dwight Adams (trumpeter with Stevie Wonder), Louis Jones III, Sam Dickinson, Alex White, Kevin Grenier, and Kasan Belgrave. We brought you world-class music outside of Phog Lounge during the Coronavirus Pandemic for over 3 months. We were joined by drummer Nick Bracewell, the great Detroit Techno wizard pianist Jon Dixon, Toronto virtuoso guitarist Sam Dickinson, pianist Kevin Grenier, and drummer Kevin Venney. We SO MUCH appreciate your love and support during this time. Now, as things slowly return to normal, we need your support more than ever! We want to bring you, the community, world-class creative music on a weekly basis. Really, UNITED is not just about jazz, but a music with emphasis on creative improvisation, pulling from all genres of our collective consciousness: Motown, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Blues, Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Detroit Techno, Rock, and so much more. We want you to support your local artists, and enjoy the music whenever you can. We want musicians to be able to hang out, sit in, and not have to pay a cover charge. We want students to show up with their voices and instruments, and learn from the masters while not having to worry about cover. And finally, as the border reopens and it's deemed safe, we want to bring you Detroit's greats on a weekly basis, UNITING our beautiful sister cites. WINDSOR deserves this kind of weekly mainstay.
For a minimum monthly pledge of $100, you'll get free entry into any UNITED show. You'll also be given special mention as a sponsor at each show, and mention on any media or social media posts. As things develop, there will be more ways to be a part of UNITED! In future, we'll need support for bringing in out of town artists. We'd also like to provide high-definition livestreams of our shows; the livestreams we've done on Facebook have gained international attention!
Where will your money go? Well, right now due to the limited capacity in Phog as a result of the Pandemic, it's impossible to pay ourselves, the musicians, fairly. We also want to keep the door charge as low as possible to allow those of all walks to enjoy our music. Eventually, we'd like to not charge students or other musicians cover. We'd like the world to know about the great music we've been making in this city and your sponsorship will help cover the cost of better livestream gear. And finally, as things return to normal, we'll use your sponsorship dollars to bring you musicians from NYC, St. Louis, LA, and around the world to join us to play for, and enrich your community.
We also welcome corporate sponsors! Our livestream has now had over 2,000 views, and we've now played for hundreds of people during the course of this series. We'll mention you and your products during our show, as well as in our social media posts and on this website. People will hear about your care and support for us, local artists and world-class musicians as audience members in the room and on the livestream.

Thank you to our first two sponsors: Charles Benn, and Barclay Moffitt!
